Fry an Egg
Fry an Egg

Learn how to quickly and easily fry and egg.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Frying pan (preferably non-stick)
  • Eggs
  • Butter
  1. Step 1

For 1-3 eggs, a small frying pan will suffice. Any more, use a large pan.
Non-stick frying pans are preferred, otherwise the egg will most likely stick to the pan during the cooking process.

  2. Step 2

Place pan over medium-high heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Make sure the butter covers the entire cooking process to help the egg from sticking.

  3. Step 3

After the pan has heated and the butter begins to sizzle, carefully break the egg(s) into the pan. Dropping the eggs from too high will result in a broken yolk. Be careful!

  4. Step 4

Cover the pan to help ensure cooking on both top and bottom. Cooking times vary based on your preference. For easy done, cook egg(s) for 2-2.5 minutes. For medium, cook egg(s) for 3-3.5 minutes. For well done, cook egg(s) for 4+ minutes.

  5. Step 5

Remove egg(s) from pan immediately (and carefully) to avoid overcooking and enjoy!
