Step 1
Its in almost every magazine these days it says to wash your hair daily. When washing your hair, you are not only washing away dirt but also washing out protective oils. If you have dried out your hair from too much shampooing, give your hair a much needed break! Try washing hair every other day. (Mayo also will take care of lice)
-
Step 2
Using conditioners help glue the cuticles back to the shaft, creates a lubricant for your hair, and prevents static electricity which causes FRIZZ! Mayo is a great home remedy for a thick conditioner. Leave the goop in hair for up to an hour every other day.
-
Step 3
These days we use a hot flat iron or use a blow dryer every day. Using these products can cause major damage to your hair. They make several protective products to spray on your hair before using the irons or dryers. If you insist on drying or straightening your hair you must get protective serums.
-
Step 4
Chlorine is another damaging chemical to our hair. If swimming in a pool, make sure you wear a cap to protect your hair and scalp from damage.
-
Step 5
Beer is a wonderful setting lotion for your hair. It gives a great shinny look to your hair even if it is already damaged. The trick is to spray into your hair after its been shampooed and towel dried. Don't worry about smelling like an alchie, the smell will go away quickly.

on 7/19/2009 It is a balance between clean hair and healthy hair that isn't dry and damaged. The water you wash in makes a difference too.

on 4/14/2009 What a great interesting article about how to manage dry hair. Mayo gets rid of lice???? I had no idea. However are you saying if you don't wash hair every day, you'll get rice? I'm from europe and I don't know a lot of people from my country who wash their hair every day, and I've never met a person with lice...other than my kids who got it in school along with everyone else in their school.LOVE the mayo tips. The beer tip...I'll try it but if I just put it on my hair and a policeman takes me in for a DWI, Im writing back. 5*
