Have you collected more cookbooks than you know what to do with over the years? Not sure if you will ever use all of the recipes listed in the book. Well, here is what I started to do with my cookbooks and have noticed I have a lot more room on my book shelves. Maybe I will buy more cookbooks...lol

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • copier
  • three ring binder
  • clear sheet protectors
  1. Step 1

First, you will want to go through all of your cookbooks and mark the pages that you will want to copy. Remember, you will be getting rid of the book once you have made your copies, so go through the entire book so you do not miss a favorite recipe.

  2. Step 2

If you do not have a copier or easy access to one, go to staples, office depot or FedEx Kinkos has copiers that you can use at a reasonable price. Make copies of all the recipes that you want to keep.

  3. Step 3

Slip copied recipes into sheet protectors and them place in three ring binder by category. Seperate recipes by type. By putting them in clear sheet protectors it will make it easy to wipe off should you get some food on it while reading it in the kitchen.

  4. Step 4

Once done with books you can donate them to whomever you want. Give to another family member to enjoy. Take to your local high school or culinary school. Libraries take book donations. Or you can try to sell on eBay or Amazon.com.

on 3/19/2009 I should do this. I could get rid of a lot of cookbooks because most of mine only have a few recipes each that I use. 5*
