This will show you how to build a tire bead breaker so you can easily change your tires.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • One 2x4 piece of lumber about 7-8 feet long.
  • One smaller piece of 2x4 around 1 foot long.
  • 2 smaller pieces of 2x4 around 2 feet long each.
  1. Step 1

Set out the two pieces of 2 foot lumber on the ground and set your tire across it.

  2. Step 2

Next go up to a parked car or a heavy duty work bench and place the tire on the wood about 2-3 feet from the edge of the car. Then place the 8 foot piece of 2x4 under the door sill of the car, then place the smaller piece right up next to the rim and use it as a leaver, put a little pressure on it to hold it in place.

  3. Step 3

Place one foot on the opposite side of the rim and leaver it away.
Some tires pop right off with a little pressure but some you have to give a hard push to get them to pop off.
