How to Make Homemade Croutons (the Easy Way!)

Things You'll Need
- Oven
- 7-8 pieces bread
- Bread knife
- 3 tbsp. olive oil
- Sauce pan
- 1 tsp. dried parsley
- 1 tsp. dried oregano
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- Mixing spoon
- Slotted spoon
- Cookie sheet
- Oven mitt
- Gallon-size freezer bag

Preheat oven to 300 F.

Remove the crust from 7-8 pieces of bread.

Use a bread knife to cut the slices of bread into small cubes.

Pour 3 tbsp. olive oil into a sauce pan.

Add 1 tsp. dried parsley, 1 tsp. dried oregano, and garlic powder to the sauce pan.

Stir the ingredients together using a mixing spoon.

Add the bread cubes to the sauce pan. Use the spoon to mix the bread cubes with the oil mixture.

Use a slotted spoon to remove the bread cubes from the sauce pan. Place the bread cubes on a cookie sheet.

Place the cookie sheet into the oven. Bake the bread for 10 minutes. Use a pair of oven mitts to remove the cookie sheet from the oven.

Shake the cookie sheet in order to move the bread cubes around. Return the cookie sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 20 minutes.

Use an oven mitt to remove the cookie sheet from the oven. Allow the croutons to cool completely.

Store the croutons in a gallon-size freezer bag.

To add even more flavor to your croutons, add additional dried seasonings to this recipe.
Removing the bread cubes from the oven before they are completely finished will prevent them from drying out properly.
