How to sync a new Wii Remote

When you purchase the Wii Console system, you will receive 2 Wii remotes with it. The Wii system can handle up to four Wii remotes. Permanently syncing additional Wii remotes is a simple process, but not very well documented. Below are basic instructions for syncing up your new Wii remotes so you do not have to re-do the sync each time you power-on the system

Things You'll Need:

  • Wii Remote
  • Wii Console
  1. Step 1

    The first step is to power on the new Wii remote by pressing the power button on the remote itself. You should see all four LEDs or lights on the controller flashing. This means the controller is ready to be synced to the Wii System.

  2. Step 2

    Next, you will need to open the sd card slot on the front of the Wii Console. There will be a red button labeled "SYNC". Press the button and you will see your controller LEDs or lights stop blinking and register what number remote it is.

  3. Step 3

    That's it! Enjoy your new Wii remote.
