How to Install a New Theme to Your BlackBerry Pearl 8100

Themes change the look of your BlackBerry's software.

Some BlackBerry Pearl 8100 smartphones support downloadable themes. Depending on your cellphone service provider, you may be able to download and install themes directly from your BlackBerry Pearl. Some cellphone service providers disable this feature, and some only allow you to choose among themes included with the BlackBerry. Each theme has different icons, fonts and other graphical elements that change how the user interface and applications on your BlackBerry appear.

Instructions

1. Click the "Options" icon on your BlackBerry's home screen.

2. Click "Theme" on the options screen.

3. Press the "Menu" key on your BlackBerry.

4. Click "Download Themes" in the menu that appears.

5. Browse for a new theme to install on the BlackBerry theme catalog Web page that appears, and click the "Download" link to download the theme.

Tips & Warnings

• Switch between installed themes by clicking their names on the Theme screen.

• Delete an installed theme by hightlighting it on the Theme screen, pressing the "Menu" key and clicking "Delete."
