Things You'll Need:
- A pesonal trainer
- Reading material, T.V., music
- Strong mental attitude
-
Step 1
Change you out look on exercise. View exercise as a way to become healthy, not lose weight. Set goals. Research states that people who write down their goals are more likely to accomplish them. Set small, daily goals. Setting goals will change your outlook on exercise because you are taking responsibility for your health by writing out your goals.
-
Step 2
Don't conquer the world. Start slow. A over taxed body will cause your brain to tell your muscles to quit. Because you hurt, you may not be motivated to return to your exercise routine. Moreover, you could cause injury to your muscles. When your body gets used to your exercise routine, it will plateau. When your work out becomes easier, add more to your routine.
-
Step 3
Hire a personal trainer. This is a must to stay motivated. Personal trainers can show you the correct work out for your body type. If you are worried about the expense, think of the money you spend on junk food such as coffee. Use this money to invest in your health. You will need your trainer when you feel like quitting.
-
Step 4
Look forward to exercising by implementing a favorite pastime while working out. Watch T.V., read or listen to music while exercising. It will keep your mind from boredom, and motivate you to exercise daily.
-
Step 5
Formulate a healthy diet. This is key. Your body needs healthy nutrition in order to function properly. What if you put dirty gas into your car's tank? It wouldn't run. The human works the same way. Stay away from fad diets, and stay hydrated. This will motivate you daily because you will feel better without the sugar and caffeine crashes associated with a unhealthy diet.
