Step 1
It's very simple to win contests the one thing you have to make sure of though is that you meet the requirements. If it says you must have a 500-word essay and you turn in a 30 word essay your entry will just go in the trash.

Enter as many contests as you can. You can do this on the computer, or many magazines and newspapers hold contests. Some contests you may only enter once and others you may enter every day. Remember, entering every day will give you a better chance 100%.

Don't give up if you don't win. Keep Entering. If you do win from a certain company make sure you read the contest rules and see if there is a time period before you can win again. This will save you time from entering when you are not eligible to win anyway.

Don't enter a contest just to win if you hate the prize. Then you won't be excited when you win and that is the whole point.

Step 5
Winning a DVD you already have or would not watch is not bad. You can give it away for birthdays and holidays. If there is a good prize then take the time to enter.
