How to make Avacado Dip
Offer your family and friends a healthy, tasty dip at your next gathering. This avocado dip includes spicy flavors but no guilt. For a milder, kid-friendly version, simply omit the jalapeno. Serve with tortilla chips or taquitos, or keep this snack on the right track by dipping fresh vegetables. Avocados do not keep well, but adding a tablespoon of lemon juice can help preserve the color and keep the avocado from browning. This recipe makes 3 cups. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 4 large avocados, peeled and pitted or 2 bags prepared avocado
- 3 tomatoes or 2 cans diced tomatoes
- 1 medium onion
- 1/3 cup cilantro
- 2 green jalapenos
- 1 teaspoon hot chili sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Juice of 1 large lemon, optional

Cut the avocados in half. Remove the seed and run a knife around the flesh to separate it from the peel. Squeeze the avocado into a bowl. Do the same for each avocado. If you are using packaged avocado, squeeze it into the bowl.

Peel, seed and chop the tomatoes. Seed and chop the jalapenos. Finely chop the onions and cilantro.

Add the vegetables and peppers to the avocados. Stir to evenly distribute the ingredients as you add in the salt and hot chili sauce. Serve immediately.

Tips & Warnings
Avacado dip a good kind of fat. Feel free to dip in veggies if you are on a diet.
Do not rub your eyes after you chop the jalapenos since the oil can burn your eyes.
