Make sure the shape you choose ergonomically fits your hand. There may be an occasion when you have to check your tire’s pressure in freezing cold weather. A tire gauge that is cumbersome and difficult to maneuver may become more of a nuisance than help under such conditions.

Look at the gauge’s incrementation. If your car tires run perfectly at tire pressure that is not a whole number, such as 17.5, make sure your programmable digital tire gauge uses increments small enough to properly detect your tire’s optimal pressure.
