Did you go a bit overboard when applying sunless tanner? Or did your trip to the tanning salon turn out to be a disaster? Luckily, there are several home remedies that can remove excess sunless tanner in a day or two. Take comfort knowing that your sunless tanner disaster is only a few household products away from being history, and you'll soon be able to step out of the house without being mistaken for a giant orange.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Exfoliating body scrub Loofah Baking soda Washcloth Lemon juice
  1. Step 1

Apply a dollop of exfoliating scrub onto a loofah.

  2. Step 2

Massage all over your body with the loofah. Be particularly aggressive on areas that tend to be darker, such as the knees and elbows. A few exfoliations should remove the tanner completely.

  3. Step 3

Dampen the washcloth and sprinkle some baking soda onto it.

  4. Step 4

Massage the baking soda all over your body with the washcloth. The baking soda will grab onto particles of sunless tanner and thereby remove it.

  5. Step 5

Soak the washcloth into some lemon juice. Scrub the sunless tanner off your skin with juice-soaked cloth. The acid in the lemon will lighten the orange color and remove the tanner.

Tips & Warnings
  • Wait it out. Most sunless tanners fade away within a few days.
  • Don't rub your skin too harshly as it may cause redness and irritation.
