How to Register a Business Licence in the State of Oregon

Registering a business license is very simple, but does have a fee applied.

Things You'll Need:

• the $20 or $30 fee, and a tax id number

1. First thing is look in your local white pages for the TAX ACCESSORS office. You will need to request the application from them,( you can do it on-line) and fill it out. Once you have the application filled out and the fee( usually about $30.00), call for an appointment with the assessor in your town.

2. You will need to take your Drivers license (for id and proof of address), tax id number #, a business proposal (or plan) and a copy of the lease for the location you wish to do business at, along with your local fee and apply IN PERSON.

3. All they want is your money, your id and a location you want to do business at. If it is in the right neighborhood for the business, they may not even want to see the location.

• Do your paperwork before going down there. You can get most all of you paper work on-line. Just type in www.YOURTOWN.GOV and that will get you most all the paperwork you need.
• Have your TAX ID number before you go there. It is a mess otherwise, and they WILL take your money before telling you so,
