Valentine's Day is a day to show your loved one how much you care for them. Most people head to the local store and purchase a box of candy and a card for Valentine's Day. These are fine gifts for your loved one. However, if you want a more unique gift, you can easily create your own Valentine's Day gift to give this year. You can create a Valentine's Day gift basket to give to your loved one, just as easily as you would grab a card and chocolate from the store.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find a basket with a handle that is a suitable size for you to make a gift basket for. You can create a Valentine's gift basket of any size that you would want. It all depends on what exactly you want to include in the gift basket. For this Valentine's Day gift basket, you will need a medium sized basket.

  2. Step 2

Place shredded red paper into the bottom of the basket. You can also use a combination of red and pick paper to fill the bottom of the Valentine's Day gift basket. You can either buy pre-shredded paper in a craft store. You can also cut up pink and red tissue paper to make the fill for the gift basket.

  3. Step 3

Place a bottle of your loved one's favorite wine into the basket. You can choose any type of wine that you and your loved one will enjoy together. Place two wine glasses in the basket so that the two of you can enjoy together. This will make the time that you give your Valentine's Day present even more special.

  4. Step 4

Place a DVD of a romantic movie into the Valentine's Day gift basket. This will give you a great reason to cuddle together to enjoy this special day. If your loved one is not into romantic movies, you can change the title to any movie that the two of you will enjoy.

  5. Step 5

Choose some snacks for the movie. You can place a couple of bags of microwave popcorn into the gift basket. Other treats that you may want to include would be cookies and some candy to quench your loved one's sweet tooth.

  6. Step 6

Wrap the Valentine's Day gift basket in red tinted cello wrap. Place the basket in the center of a large square of the cello wrap. Bring the ends of the cello wrap up around the gift basket and tie together with a pretty red ribbon. You may need to secure the cello wrap with tape or floral wire before you tie it off with ribbon so that it will stay closed until you give the gift.

on 7/27/2009 Hello...
This article results so familiar for me. I wrote the same thing but in more shorter sentences and when I try to save or published the system swallow my article.
All the steps are the same, except 4 and 5 that I choose chocolate bars and sweet candies. Who are you?
