Things You'll Need:
- Positive Outlook
- A few resolutions
- Be able to leave the past behind
- Calendar
-
Step 1
Close your eyes and imagine a clean white sheet of paper. (or the outdoors with a blanket of beautiful white new fallen snow) This is your canvas. This year you can do with it as you please. Use this visual every day.
-
Step 2
Think about the things you would like to be able to accomplish this year. Maybe it's losing weight (never a simple task), Learn an instrument or even as simple as perfecting your pickle recipe. Whatever it is, set some goals for yourself. Without goals, you will spin your wheels and remain stagnant. Push yourself outside of your boundaries and try to think of things that will fill your clean slate with new and incredible things.
-
Step 3
Sit down with your calendar and imagine it is your clean slate. Fill in important days that you need to remember, friends birthdays, anniversaries and even holidays meaningful to you. (Maybe even celebrate every first Monday of the month as a day for YOU!) Any resolutions that you set for yourself just be sure note things in the calendar such as a time line or deadlines. Don't worry if you occasionally miss a deadline. You are your own boss, sometimes you can let yourself slide a little. Always remember YOU are the most important thing in your life!
-
Step 4
Every night before bed, imagine your piece of paper filling up with all the things you have done. Clearly imagine how you want that paper to look the next day and think positively that you can accomplish anything. The next morning, be thankful and aware of your goals. You will see that this year will be a wonderful and fulfilling year!!!
