How to make Elvis Presley Pound Cake. Simple and easy pound cake recipe. Not exactly sure where the Elvis Presley part came from, but it's still a tasty version of a pound cake. Oh yeah!!! It sounds cool too.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1/2 lb. softened butter
  • 7 eggs (room temperature)
  • 3 cups plain white flour, sifted twice
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  1. Step 1

Butter and flour a 10 inch tube pan evenly.

  2. Step 2

Thoroughly cream together 3 cups of sugar and 1/2 lb. softened butter. Add 7 eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in half of the plain white flour (sifted twice), then 1 cup whipping cream, and the other half of the plain white flour. Add 2 tsp. vanilla extract. Mix well.

  3. Step 3

Pour batter into prepared pan. Place in cold oven and set on 350 degrees. Bake 1 hour to 70 minutes until sharp knife inserted into cake comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes. Remove from pan and cool. Thoroughly wrap. This cake will keep for several days.
