Once you've found online survey companies you would like to use, you will usually be required to fill out a questionnaire about yourself, which may include stating your age group, gender, income level and more.

Once the company has a survey in which you fit the demographics they are looking for, you will usually be notified by email and given a link to the online survey, along with details about how long the survey will take and what your payment will be for completing it.

on 1/12/2009 I wish someone who's been around the block with these survey companies would do a top 10 list. I've tried a few and some seem to just be a waste of my time. Like most people I'm sure knowing which companies pay out well would be great info. Thanks for the article.
