Like any online communication tool, Twitter can be an ally or a foe.

Here are a few tips for using Twitter to create uplifting change in your community.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A Computer
  • Internet Access
  • A Twitter Account
  • Common Sense
  • Compassion
  • A Desire to Make a Positive Impact
  1. Step 1

Create your Twitter account at www.twitter.com

  2. Step 2

Consider all the little things in your life that uplift you. These will be tiny tidbits that make you smile and/or make your life easier.

  3. Step 3

Share these tips with others in small, bite size pieces (less than 140 characters). If small steps help YOU, it's a guarantee they'll help someone else. Sharing is caring!

  4. Step 4

Add tips frequently. The more you post, the more people will find you on Twitter and take up your torch for positive change.

  5. Step 5

Keep it simple (as if you had a choice, Twitter commands simplicity).

Are you captivated by an inspiring quotation? Twitter it.

Do you have a quick health tip? Share it.

What about a definition for a high falutin word? Twitter that too.

Every step taken to help is a step closer to a better world!

Tips & Warnings
  • Be genuine
  • Be simple
  • Seek to uplift others in a gentle way
  • Twitter is also used for self-promotion, which is great. Just temper your "look at me" posts with helpful advice as I've mentioned in this how-to article.
