Road Rage is Dangerous

Road rage is extremely dangerous and needs to be combated with defensive driving. This machine that we us everyday to move from one location to another, suddenly becomes a weapon because we become angered or aren't thinking straight. What makes road rage so intense is it takes two parties, who usually don't know each other engaging in actions that we would never consider doing with people we know. Road rage causes accidents, tickets, jail time and even death. Here's how to prevent being part of road rage.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Be responsible and drive like you know everyone on the road. Road rage is a classic moment of when we let ourselves go and not be responsible for our actions. Always remember every second behind the wheel is our actions of accountability.

  2. Step 2

Don't let others push your buttons to start road rage. A firm reminder that other driver's actions aren't your actions. So if someone cuts you off, then they are likely to be ticketed for bad driving, not you. And you aren't going to let them draw you into a confrontation with your vehicle.

  3. Step 3

Don't drive crazy behind the wheel and give the impression to other drivers of road rage. Make the choice to always drive to the best of your ability and if you make a mistake then say an apology out loud to the other driver. They may not hear you, but they probably will see your lips.

  4. Step 4

Give yourself plenty of time to drive to your destination. When you are rushed, you must push yourself and bring with you an aggressive spirit to your driving. Relaxing as you go, you won't find any road rage in your driving

  5. Step 5

Keep your eyes on the road and your ears to the sounds of traffic. Road Rage sometimes accident starts when we do now pay 100% attention to the road. These days with cell phones, pagers and text messages we are distracted and find ourselves cutting people off accident.
