Things You'll Need:
- 4 1/2" glue stick
- Duck Tape (don't use the cheap stuff)
- Garden Marking stake(thin dowel)
- Saw/shears
- Paper Clip
- Binder Clip
- Pen Cap
-
Step 1
Gather the supplies. Hope that no-one will notice that someone has taken the caps to the pens and markers that they use everyday.
-
Step 2
saw or cut off about two or two and a half feet of rod using the cutting tool you prefer. We used garden shears. Take a paper clip and bend it into a hook shape. Then, bend two or three circles in one end of the hook. This is your eye-hole for the line. duct tape it to one end of the rod.
-
Step 3
Now we shall make the handle. Grab the glue stick. Depending on the size of the glue stick and rod, different things will work for you. we put the rod in a pen cap, used scissors to make the hole in the glue stick bottom bigger, and shoved the cap into the glue stick. Use duck tape to put everything together. *Please note*: Duck tape is a wonderful thing. Use alot of it.

Step 4
We attached a binder clip near the handle on the rod. We will use this to connect the line. Since it has 2 loop-hole handles that hang down, you can use one side to store the extra line and then run the line through the opposite side and up through the eye loop hole. If you would like more sensitivity to your eye hole, use the spring from a clicky pen and find a way to adhere it to the tip. We did not use this for the sake of keeping things easy. The important parts are a pole, handle, and eye hole...oh yes, let's not forget the duck tape.

Step 5
This pole will work fine for pan fish, but if you run into a large one...let's just say you should bring extra duck tape with you.
