Things You'll Need:
- Money (optional)
-
Step 1
Throw an Elvis Party! Plan a party with an Elvis Presley theme. Make a Graceland or Jailhouse Rock cake, serve Elvis Presley's favorite drink and food and have a "dance like Elvis" contest. Don't be surprise if several Elvis impersonators show up.
-
Step 2
Visit Graceland. An annual birthday celebration is set up at Graceland for Elvis Presley's friends, family and fans to honor his memory and contribution to the entertainment world. Take a tour of Graceland and join in the festivities designed to honor and remember the King of Rock and Roll. If you cannot make it to Graceland, you can do a virtual tour on the internet.
-
Step 3
Watch Elvis Presley movies. You have more than 31 featured films to choose from including the classics Jailhouse Rock and King Creole. Additionally, many TV stations and online websites are showing his movies the whole month of January to honor him.
-
Step 4
Exercise or relax with his music. Elvis Presley was a very talented artist. His songs are still quite popular. Choose an upbeat tune and do aerobics, go jogging or walking with Elvis. If you are not in the mood for exercising, relax with some of his more soothing tunes.

on 1/6/2009 Merci beaucoup - thank you Sarah for reminding us of Elvis birthday. In his simple ways, he touched many people's lives including mine. Growing up in France, I went to see his movies, tried to sing his songs like love me tender, wore a cowboy Elvis black shirt in school and reprimanded for doing so, never dreamed I would even go to Memphis. Did not yet see Graceland but someday, would love to go and pay my respects to the man who changed our culture. You can see it all on www.elvis.com and for his movies www.elvisboxset.com His legend will live on forever.
