Things You'll Need:

  • Organizer
  • File cabinet
  1. Step 1

Take a look at the materials you have to organize. You may have quite a few things in your office, or you may not have much at all. If you tend to have a lot of things in your office, you may need to purchase a file cabinet or organizers if you do not have some already.

  2. Step 2

Start by organizing all of your paperwork. There is always some kind of papers in an office space, and you want to keep them organized. You can file them by date, or by a certain kind of work.

  3. Step 3

Get an organizer to keep your basic materials organized. This would be for writing utensils, files, and many other little items.

  4. Step 4

Invest in a paper shredder. They are quite inexpensive, but they will help you reduce the amount of paper and trash you have, as well as keep you organized.

  5. Step 5

Spend ten minutes each day cleaning up your office before you leave for the day. As simple as it may sound, it may be the hardest thing to do. Cleaning your office on a daily basis will help keep it manageable.
