There are many free spyware deleting programs that are available for download. Simply try a Google search if you don't have any particular preference for which one. Make sure that you never pay for a spyware protection program. These pay programs are scams and work no better or possibly even worse than free ones.

Keep your definitions updated each time you use the program and try scanning at least once a week. Depending on the sites you visit, spyware isn't all that common. Pornography websites have a much higher incidence of spyware and viruses, so be careful if you choose to visit these particular sites.

It is also a good idea to regularly delete any saved web pages and cookies from your harddisk. Click the tools tab and select internet options. There should be a section called browsing history. Delete your browsing history and make sure that you delete all offline content. This deletes any cookies or saved pages that slow down your internet.
