Step 1
The first thing your going to need to do is find something of interest that you know a good bit about. It can be anything at all. If you like monster trucks, for example, then go with it. Any topic is a good topic.

Once you've got your area of interest figured out, you're going to need to build a website. There are tons of free web builders all over the Internet. I suggest Weebly.com or Synthasite.com. I have used both of these, and they have worked great. You will need to put helpful information about your topic on your website. And remember to take your time. If it's thrown together in a hurry, people will know, and it will not be successful.

Step 3
With your website nearly done, a great tool for making money online is Google Adsense. Go to Google and register for Adsense. This will let you put Google ads on your website, and earn money off the clicks on the ads(never click your own ads, you'll get banned from Adsense). Place the ads on the pages with your content. Put them all over. Don't put too many though. People get aggrivated when there are too many ads. Study other websites and see where they put there ads. They probably know what they're doing.

Step 4
The next step is publishing your site. Just click "publish" and type in the domain you want. You'll be given a free domain, but you will have the opportunity to purchase one if you would like to.

Finally you need to advertise. This is the step that people don't seem to do right. Just be patient when advertising. Post ads, and you'll see results. There are many places where you can post ads for free. I suggest forums. Forums will give you tons of traffic. Just be sure to make the ads appealing. Always ask yourself,"Would I click on this?" You can also post flyers on public bulletin boards and wherever else they may be permitted. Do all you can to drive traffic to your website and you'll make money.
