How to Pay With a PayPal Account on eBay

PayPal is one of the most popular payment methods offered on eBay today. PayPal allows both eBay buyer and sellers to handle payment transactions in a secure and timely manner. One very good reason many people choose to use PayPal is the payment transaction can be made without exposing any of the payer's personal banking or credit card information. Linking your PayPal and eBay accounts lets you pay for auctions you've won using your PayPal balance or linked accounts.

Instructions

1. Click the "My eBay" link at eBay.com to link your PayPal and eBay accounts. Click the "Account" tab at the top of the page. Click the "Link My PayPal Account" option in the "PayPal Account" link to complete the process.

2. Click the "Pay Now" link in the auction page, the email confirmation or in your "Purchase History" page. Verify your shipping address, the shipping method and total amount. Click "Continue."

3. Select "PayPal" in the payment methods page. Enter your PayPal login information to log into your PayPal account.

4. Verify your shipping address details and total. Click the "Confirm Your Payment" button to finish the transaction.

Tips & Warnings

• Take the time to add several payment options to your Paypal account. This will save you time when making a payment in the future when your primary PayPal funding source does not have enough funds to cover your eBay transaction.

• Never share personal PayPal information. The email address you have on file with Paypal is enough information to research any questions about payment.
