Valentine's Day Gift Basket

This article is designed to take the fear out of creating beautiful gift baskets. Once you create your first one you will wan to make them over and over again everyday.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Valentine's Day Basket
  • Red, pink, and white paper stuffing (like easter grass) for bottom of basket.
  • Red, white, and pink ribbons
  • 2-3 different types of chocolate
  • 2 candles
  • cellophane
  • Red, white, and pink bows
  • A small stuffed animal
  • 1 or 2 gift cards for local spa and beauty services
  1. Step 1

The first thing you will want to do is make sure that you get all the things you will need for your gift basket, this includes the proper size basket to fit all the items you would like to use. For the items I have mentioned you will need a medium to large size gift basket.

  2. Step 2

Take your gift basket stuff with basket stuffing, then place your items in a layered fashion. With tall and large items toward back of basket and smaller, items toward the front.

  3. Step 3

Once you have placed all your items in the basket, make sure the gift cards have nice envelopes or sleeves so they do not fall low in the basket and get lost under the other items. If your basket has a handle it is time to decorate it. Take your colored ribbons and braid them around the handle putting a big bow on each side of the basket. Make sure to secure the ribbon with a hot glue gun so it stays pretty until delivered.

  4. Step 4

Once your basket it complete wrap with cellophane. This is accomplished by laying a piece of cellophane on the table, place the basket in the middle and lift up wrap around the basket and tie off with a bow.

Tips & Warnings
  • You do not have to use all the items I have listed be original add what you like and what you think your loved one will like.
  • If chocolate is not appropriate you can use other types of candy
  • you can also add coffee or wine for those who like it
  • Make sure to be careful using a glue gun because they are very hot
  • Place items in a neat and orderly manner packed together so that they do not move when rattled, or moved during delivery
  • Make sure to keep gift away from extreme temperatures especially if candy, flowers, candles or wine is involved
