Most people love gift baskets but are too afraid to make them. In this article I will give you step by step instructions for a Valentine's Day basket. Once you make your fist basket you will be hooked and want to make them everyday.

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Get a gift basket of any style, color, or type. fill with basket stuffing. The choice of basket with depend on the reason for the gift. You will need to keep this in mind when making your gift basket. For a basket with the amount of items I have mentioned you will need a medium to large basket.

    Place your items in the basket. With the largest and tallest items in the back and the smallest and shorter items in the front. If you include gift make sure to put them into individual envelopes or boxes so they do not slip under the other items.

  3. Step 3

    Take your ribbon and braid it around the handle of your basket and add a bow on each side of the basket. Secure your ribbons and bows with hot glue, using a glue gun (or you can use glue dots).

  4. Step 4

    Finally, it is time to wrap your basket in cellophane. Lay out a cellophane square on the table. Place your basket in the middle of the cellophane. Bring all the corners up to the top to meet evenly then tie off with a ribbon and bow.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure to add your own style and creativity
  • Add items you are sure the receiver will love
  • Pick a theme (coffee, pet, movie, etc.)
  • Secure all items so that they do not move around during delivery
  • Do not expose basket to extreme temperatures (especially if you add food and candy)
  • Make sure all items are properly wrapped to avoid spillage
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets
  • Follow all safety precautions for your glue gun if you choose to use one
