Do you find yourself re-hanging the towel after every time you use it to wipe your hands? Are you tired of picking a towel off the floor 10 times a day because your toddler thinks it's fun to yank the towel of the rod every time he sees it. This works if you hang your kitchen or hand towels on a rod or oven handle. It's also a great way to label the towels so everyone in the house knows which towel is to be used for what.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hair Clips - claw type
  • Optional for Labeling:
  • Tape
  • Permanent Marker
  1. Step 1

Find some claw type hair clips (See picture). You may already have one in your home or you can easily find them in the grocery or drug stores. Any size will work, the long, curved type are not recommended. Pick a color that matches your kitchen decor.

  2. Step 2

Place the hair clip over the towel hanging on the rod.

  3. Step 3

Optional Labeling: Place tape over a smooth area of the clip and label with permanent marker to identify the towels usage.

Tips & Warnings
  • If the towel is yanked hard enough the clip can pop off.
  • This may not be completely toddler-proof but it can reduce the frequency of towel removal.
  • Typically, a young toddler can't squeeze the grip hard enough to remove the clip.
  • Use wherever hand towels are used, bathroom, kitchen, RV; get creative.
  • Hair clips are not toys and may contain small parts, if your child can get the clips off the rod, do not use this solution.
