Everyone needs to set goals, without them we are just aimlessly wandering the world with no direction. Setting small goals will make sure that you are on the right track, with whatever it is you are doing.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paper
  • Pencil
  • Commitment
  1. Step 1

Start out by writing down things that you would like to get done in the next month. Perhaps it's cooking at least 3 meals a week, making a new art project, or saving a few extra dollars for a vacation. It doesn't matter what you want to do, just write it down.

  2. Step 2

Take the list and decide which ones absolutely need to be done and put those towards the top and go down from there.

  3. Step 3

Take about 3 or 4 and write down how you are going to accomplish the goals. What are some things that can show that you are on the right track? Just make sure that the criteria that you choose are reachable.

  4. Step 4

As each goal is completed, highlight each one to show that progress is being reached. If the goal is not met by the time period allowed, consider carrying it over to the next list and re-think what the goal actually is. Remember to start with small ones and soon you can take on anything.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make each goal: consise, timely, realistic.
  • Giving yourself a reward for a goal met is a good way to get things done.
  • If the goal isn't met to your standards, try it again until it's done.
