One, Two Three Calories? Maybe!

What goes into our mouths all have a calorie count. Now we may not have had the chance to see the side of the prepared package or ask the person, but the calories do add up! If you are looking to keep your calorie intact on paper, you might find it impossible to do so accurately unless you find the right tools. Here's how!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Buy yourself a simple kitchen or postage scale. This will help you know approximately how many ounces of food you have eaten so you can guest-a-mate.

  2. Step 2

Before you eat the food, make sure you accurately write down the obvious ingredients. For example, five ounces of lasagna could be rich (with a lot of ingredients) or not so full of calories if made plain.

  3. Step 3

Go online to determine the calorie intake of the foods you are eating. The easiest to use feature online is the Calorie Counter found on Google. This handy interactive tool is put on your igoogle.com page and you can contribute four times a day (breakfast, lunch, dinner and Misc.)

  4. Step 4

Once you have the calorie counter on your google page, update it after every meal with your food choices. It will quickly add up the calories and present you with a personalized detailed overview.
