How to Do Paris Hilton Makeup

Hollywood socialite Paris Hilton is known throughout the globe for many things, including her fabulous fashion and makeup styles. Whether she's strolling down the red carpet or simply doing some afternoon shopping, Paris always looks impeccable. She is often seen sporting many different makeup styles; however, one of her most prevalent looks is a smokey eye. Whether you're a makeup maven or merely want to create your own Paris Hilton inspired look, it can be done using the proper techniques and tools.

Instructions

1. Prep your skin. Prior to applying makeup of any kind, it is essential that you cleanse, tone and moisturize your skin. Wash your skin with a gentle cleanser and towel dry it. Apply your favorite toner and follow up with moisturizer. Allow your skin at least 10 minutes to absorb the moisturizer before you proceed to the next step.

2. Apply foundation. Creating the perfect canvas is essential to any makeup look and can be easily achieved by applying foundation. Use a foundation brush or a damp sponge to apply your foundation. It can be either a liquid or cream foundation. Paris is a fan of Armani foundation which can be purchased at some department stores and Sephora. Once you have applied your foundation, decide if you need some extra coverage. If so, apply concealer to those specific areas. Once your foundation and concealer are complete, apply a layer of loose powder to set your makeup.

3. Create the smokey eye. Many times when you see pictures of Paris, you will notice she often sports a smokey eye. To create a smokey eye, you need a light shadow for highlighting, medium shadow for the wash and a dark shadow to contour. First, apply the medium colored shadow over your entire eyelid. Apply the darker shadow in the crease of your eyelid and blend it into the medium colored shadow. If you desire a smokier look, add more of the darker shade. Apply the light color as a highlighter on your brow bone and blend it into the top of your eyelid.

4. Finish your eyes. Once your shadow is complete, line your eyes with either a black or dark brown eyeliner pencil. Use a smudge brush to soften the look and create smokey looking eyeliner. If you desire darker liner, reline your eye after you smudge the liner. When your eyeliner is complete, curl your eyelashes with an eyelash curler and follow with mascara. Paris likes to use DiorShow which is a lengthening and thickening mascara. If you desire thicker lashes, apply a second coat of mascara.

5. Add a touch of color. To get a sun kissed glow, it is essential that you apply bronzer. Paris likes Mac Bronzer in Golden. Choose a bronzer that best suits your skin tone. If your skin tone is lighter, opt for a lighter bronzer and if your skin tone is darker, select a darker bronzer. Apply the bronzer to your skin using a powder brush and a light hand. Blend the color into your skin. Finish up by applying your favorite blush to the apples of your cheeks.

6. Gloss it up. Since you are wearing a dramatic smokey eye, opt for a nude lip gloss. Paris Hilton raves about Mac Lip Glass in Prrrr. It is a soft pink with a touch of sparkle.
