Play Star Wars Mad Libs in Class

Kids love Mad Libs-and of course, they love Star Wars! Why not utilize these interests to teach them about nouns, verbs and adjectives? I assign the kids a different Mad Lib for homework each night during our Star Wars unit. Then at the very end of the day I pick a few to read to the class-and boy, do they laugh and laugh! Here is how to educate and entertain your students with Mad Libs.

Instructions

    • 1

Buy the Star Wars Mad Libs from your local bookstore.

    • 2

Teach the kids how to do a Mad Lib. You do not read the sentences before you enter the words; that is what makes them funny, the randomness.

    • 3

Teach the kids that a noun is a person, place or thing. Teach them that a verb is something you do. Teach them that an adjective is a describing word.

    • 4

Read the Mad Lib at the end of the day. The kids will love it!

    • 5

Give the kids a different Mad Lib each night of the unit.
