Working women, take note, you can prepare a delicious, restaurant-quality pasta dish in less than 30 minutes.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Linguine
  • Hot or Sweet Italian Sausage (or substitute turkey italian sausage)
  • Cubanelle or banana peppers (or a combination of both)according to how spicy you want the finished product to be
  • Garlic (preferably Elephant Garlic . . . using the whole bud)
  • Sliced white mushrooms (or a mushroom of your choice)
  • Kale for color
  1. Step 1

    Ingredients -
Linguine (or pasta or your choice)
Sweet or Spicy Italian Sausage, your preference (or substitute Turkey Italian Sausage)
Cubanelle or Banana Peppers (or a combination of both)
Sliced White Mushrooms (or a mushroom of your choice)
    Kale for color

  2. Step 2

You can make this tame or wonderfully spicy, depending on the number of peppers you use and whether or not you use sweet or hot italian sausage.

Brown Italian sausage in skillet until well cooked. I like to take the skin off the sausage (individual taste). While the sausage is browning, add extra virgin olive oil to a saute pan. Add sliced peppers, diced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Simmer on medium with lid on until tender. Prepare linguine (or pasta of your choice) according to package directions.

When pasta is done and drained, add cooked sausage, peppers, garlic and mushrooms to pasta pot. Blend all ingredients together and transfer to pasta bowl. Add kale for color.

  3. Step 3

Serve with homemade garlic or cheese bread, using fresh Italian or Chicago Italian bread cut into 2" slices. Top with garlic butter or grated cheese of your choice. Bake at 325 until brown. To add a little crunch to the bread, put under the broiler the last few minutes. And, voila, everything comes together in less than 30 minutes and it looks like you've been cooking for hours. Enjoy!
