Get Paid To Shop

Some websites have given mystery shopping a bad rap. Why? Because they want to charge you $20 for a "list". Guess what? Mystery shopping is legitimate AND it is free to become one. It is best if you have a flexible schedule and live in a large town (or close to one).

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer w/ Internet Access
  • Dependable Transportation
  • Flexible Schedule
  • Notebook
  1. Step 1
    Get Organized

    Get Organized

Grab a notebook to write down all the companies that you sign up for. This will help you stay organized and keep up to date with the latest shops. I also suggest opening a free email to keep your mystery shopping business separate from personal business.

  2. Step 2

Jot down days and times that you are willing to shop on. If you are in a large city, you have great chances of getting alot of shop opportunities. If you live in a small town, between larger metropolitans, jot down the zip codes that you are willing to travel to. Some companies reimburse travel (mileage) some don't, so keep this in mind when you accept a shop.

  3. Step 3

To get started, you must of course sign up to be a mystery shopper for a company. I will provide you with some companies that you can get started with. Feel free to look for more online, just remember, you shouldn't have to pay just to fill out an application.

  4. Step 4

Sign up for as many companies as you can. The more you sign up for, the more opportunities you will be offered. You don't have to accept all the opportunities, but you will have more options. Be sure to follow all directions you are given to ensure timely payment. You will be considered an independent contractor, so be sure to keep all payment receipts and gas receipts for tax purposes.
