Turn Your Bedroom into a Blissful Oasis

If you find that your bedroom looks more like a catastrophe than a blissful oasis, it may be time that you wake up and take on the chaos. Sleep experts and designers agree that your bedroom should be a peaceful refuge, a restful retreat that creates an atmosphere suitable for sleep and relaxation. Here are some tips to turn your den of chaos into an blissful oasis.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Get rid of the clutter.- Whenever you walk into your bedroom do you find yourself visually overwhelmed? Whether you have mounds of laundry on the floor or too many decorations on the wall the visual impact is really all the same. Do what you must to store all the clutter out of sight or get rid of it.

  2. Step 2

Splurge on bed linens.- You will see your comforter or bedspread every single time you go past your bedroom so why not spend alittle extra? Also you should fall madly in love with the way the linens feel against your skin since you will have the linens in contact with it for six to eight hours a night. Great linens can make even the most simple bedrooms look and feel fantastic.

  3. Step 3

Please adults only. It's time to move the baby into her own room. Be sure to eliminate from the room all reminders that you have children. That means that their laundry should be folded and put away in their rooms - never left sitting in a basket in your bedroom. Also any toys left in your room go straight into their room in a toy box.
