After a wonderful meal at Red Lobster, who doesn't go for the cheesecake? It is a creamy sweet flavor to add to a wonderful Red Lobster meal and now you can have it at home! Forget the cost of a Red Lobster meal, serve it to the whole family for dessert or a treat! This is definitely a treat everyone will love.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Crust:
  • 10 oz. package Lorna Doone cookies, crushed
  • 1/4 lb. melted butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 envelope Knox gelatin
  • Filling:
  • 16 oz. cream cheese
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • crushed cookie crumbs for garnish
  1. Step 1

    Crust; mix crumbs with butter, sugar, and gelatin. Pat
    out evenly over bottom of a greased 9" spring form
    pan.

  2. Step 2

    Place in the oven and bake at 350 degrees for exactly 8 min. The crust will become crunchy and fall apart if over cooked.

  3. Step 3

    Filling; beat with electric mixer: cream cheese, sour
    cream, eggs, butter, cornstarch, sugar and vanilla until smooth. When filling is perfectly smooth and creamy, pour into crust.

  4. Step 4

    Return to 350 degree oven and bake 30−35 min. or until
    you can insert a knife into the center and it comes out clean.

  5. Step 5

    Cool 20 min. before cutting. Sprinkle top with cookie crumbs. Serves 8.
