Things You'll Need:
- Everything in purple! Eveywhere! All of it!
- A great budget to go wild!
-
Step 1
Start with what you see first...The Decor. Purple fabric as curtains and pillows. Purple slipcovers on couches. Purple tableclothes on your coffee table and dining areas. Purple flowers like lilacs and hyacinths in large vases. Purple candles and mirrors underneath to give them depth. Use all the shades of purple and make things really unique. Darker purples can make things disappear and bright shades can be eye catching. Use purple shaded lightbulbs to shade things outside on patios.
-
Step 2
Food can break a theme in half. Icing and cakes are obvious and can be colored easily. Cabbage, fingerling potatoes and blueberries are great for colorful cuisine. Jello always comes through as the perfect shade, it can be jello jigglers or jello shots. Bowls of dark purple grapes and dark grape juice. I think there is a purple skittle if you want to sort them out. Plums and eggplants, but eggplants are white on the inside. Worse comes to worse dye things purple that start out white. Dips with sour cream or cream cheese will come out well. Experiment and have fun!
-
Step 3
Have everyone coming dress up! This can be great when people get into it. Purple wigs and mardi gras beads in bowls for people coming in that have not dressed the part. A face painter painting on fairy designs for little girls is a dream come true. Glitter is great in purple and it makes women and girls excited. Games can be anything from purple jelly beans in a jar to bested dressed contests.
-
Step 4
Music! Videos! Prince Purple Rain Album!Hey retro 80's is here! Deep Purple-its a band, i am almost sure they used to be cool. The book Harold and The Purple Crayon on a coffee table can be fun for adults to remember and telling the story is great for a kids activity. The point is to find a way for all senses to leave feeling purple!
