Make A Can of Croissant Rolls Into Appetizers

This is the answer to a party budget crisis! I figured out these recipes while I was in culinary school. I was eating expensive foods during the day free and going home to macaroni and cheese. This is a cheap way to show off anything normally in puff pastry! Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • a can of croissant rolls for each recipe.
  • sliced ham lunch meat and yellow mustard
  • mini sausages(lil smokies)
  • cooked shredded lobster and butter
  • a baking sheet
  • oven set to 325

Instructions

Start by cleaning up an area, gathering all your ingredients and washing your hands. Then unpop the can and pull out the dough. I used a spoon, but it should pop open easily. careful not to shred the instructions though!

Starting with the cheapest would have to be the ham and mustard roll ups. Lay out the triangles. Cut each triangle in half so you have 16 triangle strips. Then take the slice of ham and cut it into 1 inch thick slice. Place a few on each triangle and spead a little mustard ontop. Roll up starting from the thick part of the triangle to the tip. Place on the tray and pop in the oven for about 15 minutes. Watch for browning and let cool.

Next is the party favorite-Pigs in a blanket. I did figure out these are great with breakfast sausage also for a breakfast event. Take a package of lil smokies and put them in place of the ham on the thicker part of the triangles and roll up. Bake the same amount of time and serve with mustard left from the first recipe.

The last I made for a wedding from one lobster! Get the meat shredded add chunks of butter to the meat so that they melt into the meat during baking, kind of make a spread or compound butter. Put little dollops of that in the thicker part and roll up. Then bake like the others until light brown. Enjoy your party!
