This is my first real original recipe, I hope you like it. All of the ingredient amounts are estimated add as much or as little as you like, this 'ain't baking, have fun.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Turkey (1/8 pound(?) pulled)
  • Salsa (your favorite)
  • Shredded Mex cheese (as much as you want, hmmm...cheese!)
  • Tomatato (1/2 cubed)
  • Green peppers (1/4 sliced)
  • Orange peppers (1/4 sliced)
  • White Onion (1/4 sliced)
  • Pepperoncini (1 whole)
  • Salontro
  • Butter (1/4 stick)
  • Salt (pinch)
  • Sause pan
  • Cookie sheet
  • spoon or spatula
  1. Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350*. Prepare a cookie sheet so that the quasidilla doesn't stick to it, (spray with pam or some butter).

  2. Step 2

Take your sauce pan over low to med heat and add the butter, turkey, onion and salt. Let the turkey warm up and become soft. Basically ready to eat. If you cover the pan, it will be slightly more tender since your kinda steaming it.

  3. Step 3

Now throw in your bell peppers, and add your lime. I take a half a lime and use about a 1/4 of the juice, use whatever you want. Bring to a simmer and throw in the pepperoncini, let this simmer for ten to twenty minutes. Stir occasionally so not to burn anything.

  4. Step 4

Turn your burner off, take the pepperoncini out, slice it, and throw it back in. Add your salsa of choice, stir ingredients together. Don't be to rough on it or you will turn it into a taco bell looking paste, gross.

  5. Step 5

Now throw in your tomatoes, I love tomatoes but soggy tomatoes in anything Mexican is simply... no es bueno, (no good).

  6. Step 6

Take a spoon or spatula and put the turkey between two quasidillas, put in the stove on 350* and bake until golden brown or how ever you like 'em.

  7. Step 7

Top with salontro not lettuce (its just water), maybe a little guacamole, or sour cream. What ever you like, presentation is the Funnest part of cooking, be creative.

Tips & Warnings
  • Becarefull when you go to slice your pepperoncini, it will be hot.
  • The seeds of the pepper are what make it hot, take them out for more flavor than hotness.
  • The lime will cut into the hotness of the dish, use it with this in mind.
  • The seeds of the pepper are what make it hot, take them out for more flavor than hotness, (pepperoncini aren't that hot thou).

on 1/17/2009 Bravo! on creating your own recipe. I love creativity in the kitchen - especially when it pays off. This recipe sounds like a winner and I will certainly give it a try. Really like that you used turkey - you won't find that at Taco Bell! 5*

on 1/5/2009 This looks more delicious than my quesadillas recipe. Is this a tomato? "Tomatato"
