There are many good reasons to use natural cleaning products. They are more economical and they healthier. Commercial oven cleaners are one of the most toxic cleaners on the market today. You will breath easier with this natural solution and you and your family will be safer.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/4 Cup Salt
  • 1/8 Cup Borax
  • 1 Cup baking soda
  • 1/8 Cup Water
  • 1/4 Cup White Vinegar
  • 10 drops lemon oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Liquid Castile Soap
  1. Step 1

Combine the Salt, borax, baking soda, and castile soap with just enough water to form a thick paste. Use this paste to clean any burnt on or stubborn spots. Coat the rest of the oven with the paste.

  2. Step 2

You can allow the baking soda to clean for several hours, or overnight. To speed the process along, turn the oven on the lowest heat setting available for 20 minutes to 1/2 an hour.

  3. Step 3

Combine the vinegar, essential oil, and remaining water in a spray bottle. Shake well. Spray the sides of the oven. The mixture of the vinegar with the baking soda will cause a foaming action. Scrub any stubborn spots with a scrubber. Wipe away the natural cleaner with a sponge.

  4. Step 4

After you have finished wiping away the natural cleaner, give your oven a second rinse with a wet sponge or cloth.
