Step 1
Start off with a visit to your local hospital. Ask at the general information desk if they offer any classes for CNA work or if they could refer you to any local programs in your area. Generally hospitals are your best bet because of the high concentration of medical professionals and the fact that nurse's assistants are always in demand.

Step 2
Another place you could ask is any surrounding retirement communities. These places require assistants almost as much as hospitals, and are very likely to offer a training course for that reason. Be prepared to pay a fee for the class regardless of where you take it. It should be no more than a few hundred dollars though.

Step 3
A third place you could check is a local college or university. Visit the main information desk or the science department and see what they have to offer. Be aware that it is very beneficial to be in direct contact with patients, which you will definitely get more of in a hospital or retirement home.
