Step 1
FIND A DRESSER You may already have one, or you can look for one at old furniture shops. Look for a dresser or cabinet that has a top drawer and two wide doors on the bottom that have side hinges. Remember your bathroom furniture vanity sink needs to give easy access to extra toilet paper, towels, and cleaning products.
-
Step 2
CHANGE DRAWER Completely pull out the top drawer. Remove the face plate from the drawer and attach it to a tip out tray. This will provide a small storage space in you bathroom furniture vanity sink.
-
Step 3
SWITCH TOPS Unscrew the wood top from the dresser. Now that the top drawer is out of the bathroom furniture vanity sink, it is easier to access the fasteners. Wait to add the new top until later.
-
Step 4
CUT HOLES Knowing exactly where to cut the holes for the plumbing can be tricky. You have a quality bathroom furniture vanity sink so you don't want to make any mistakes. The safe way to know exactly where to cut is to cover the plumbing fixtures with chalk and press the bathroom furniture vanity sink against the fixtures so that they leave a mark. Then cut on the lines.
-
Step 5
SET COUNTERTOP Put a line of caulk around the top edge of the bathroom furniture vanity sink and place the new counter on top. Install the sink. Add the new tip out drawer with the old front. Connect the plumbing. Enjoy the antique looking bathroom furniture vanity sink focal point of your new bathroom.
