Step 1
Find an area that you can use to study in. The area needs to be organized and quiet with no distractions to draw your attention away.
-
Step 2
Get lots of sleep before you try and study. The more rested you are, the better retention and recall your mind will have. Sleep deprevation impacts both retention and recall, and you'll find it much harder to stay focused and remember what you just studied without a good nights rest.
-
Step 3
Study groups are another way to help your study habits, by working with others, you'll likely put more pressure on yourself to be prepared for discussion and study when the group meets. Also by talking out loud through what you are studying with others, you may notice the material commits better to your memory.
-
Step 4
Make sure you have eaten properly before attempting to study, studying on an empty stomach means you'll likely find it harder to focus on the material at hand you are trying to study.
