How to Write SEO Rich Content

Search engine optimization (SEO) is a must have skill for any writer looking to make an impact on the internet. SEO rich content ensures that a website is easily found in the vast metropolis that is the internet. If you are looking to learn a little SEO start with these easy tips.

   SEO rich content should have a keyword density of 0.5%-5%. That is to say that: per 200 words of text the targeted keyword should appear 1-10 times. You should also limit the number of keywords or keyword phrases used to 2-3. Understanding these most basic concepts of SEO is the first step.

   Write the content you will place online as it comes naturally to you. Do not worry about the keywords you will use, simply write with quality of information in mind.

3. Now add the keywords where they fit. Make sure that each keyword or keyword phrase appears at least once in the title, once in the first paragraph and then several times throughout the text. Occasionally, to accomplish this, tense will have to be altered.

   Now, get out the digital highlighter. Highlight each occurrence of the keyword and count them up. Divide this number by the total number of words in your text. You will end up with a fraction of a number. Simply move the decimal point two places to the right and voila! This number is your keyword density percentage.
   Ex. The keyword appears 9 times. There are 500 total words in the text.
   9/500=0.018
   Move the decimal point and you have a keyword density of 1.8%.

5. Add more keywords as needed or delete unnecessary filler words to boost your keyword density. While SEO, in all, is a much more in depth process, these are the basics that any writer should know.
