Cleaning your dishwasher is not as time consuming as you might think. By following a few simple steps, your dirty dishwasher will be a thing of the past.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    To clean your dishwasher, you must first ensure that your dishwasher is empty. Set dishwasher on the highest water heat setting it will run.

  2. Step 2

    Next, place a small mug inside the top rack of your dishwasher. Pour about 1 cup of vinegar into the mug. Run your dishwasher on the normal wash setting until the cycle is complete. This will dissolve any food particles from inside of your dishwasher.

  3. Step 3

    After the first cycle has been ran, place a cup of Kool-aid mix into the mug. Again, run your dishwasher on a normal setting until the cycle is complete. This cycle will scrub the inside of your dishwasher.

  4. Step 4

    After the second cycle is complete, add a cup of bleach to the mug. Run the dishwasher again on a normal setting until the cycle has been completes. This will sanitize the inside of the unit, and leave your dishwasher smelling clean.

  5. Step 5

    Admire you sparkling clean dishwasher and marvel at the work you didn't have to do to get your dishwasher looking like new.
