Things You'll Need:
- 3 cans of low sodium chicken broth
- 2 cans diced tomatoes
- 2 cans green beans
- 1 can sliced carrots
- 1 can peas
- 1 can corn
- 2 cans chunk potatoes
- 1/2 chopped onion
- 3 tbs. minced garlic
- 1/4 tbs. pepper
- 1 package pre-cooked pot roast or beef stew meat
-
Step 1
Poor all cans of broth and vegetables, including liquid, into a large pot. Set pot on the stove and heat on medium high.
-
Step 2
Chop up half of an onion and add it to the pot along with 3 tablespoons of minced garlic and 1/4 tablespoon pepper.
-
Step 3
You can usually find pre-cooked pot roast or stew meat near the meat section of the grocery store with the pre-cooked ham and sausage. Take your meat out of the package and cut it into your desired size and then add the meat and any sauce that came with the meat to the pot.
-
Step 4
Once the soup starts to boil, turn on medium low and let simmer uncovered for 2 to 4 hours stirring occasionally. The longer it cooks, the better it tastes. Serve with crackers, or my favorite, Pillsbury cheese biscuits.
