Remember People's Names at Work

Remembering people's names is an important part of business. This article will list a few steps to help you remember people's names and improve your memory.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

When someone is introduced to you, lets say his name is Simon, make sure you say his name back to help improve your memory. Perhaps you will say "nice to meet you, Simon". You will have heard Simon's name and said Simon's name, which are 2 ways of reinforcing your memorization of Simon's name.

  2. Step 2

Ask Simon for a business card to help improve your memory. You will see Simon's name on the business card, which is a 3rd way of reinforcing your memorization of Simon's name.

  3. Step 3

Instead of having your secretary input Simon's information into your database, do it yourself to help improve your memory. You typing Simon's name into your database is a 4th way of reinforcing your memorization of Simon's name.

  4. Step 4

Perhaps you have a friend or business colleague that is also named Simon. Picture in your mind both Simons standing next to each other to help improve your memory. This visualization is a 5th way of reinforcing your memorization of Simon's name.
