Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 piece of heavy weight paper
  • 23 pieces of paper
  • 1 tapestry needle
  • dental floss
  • one piece of cardboard
  • materials of your choice for cover
  • glue ruler pencil scissors
  1. Step 1

    1.fold each of your pages or cut in half as necessary
    2.make a template the length of the spine fo your book
    3.mark your template 1"from each edge
    4.mark your template 2"form each edge
    5.find the center of your book and mark 1/2'from your center in both directions

  2. Step 2

    6.layer 5 folios together to form a signature
    7.mark the valley of your signature with your template should be 6 marks
    8.thread needle with a piece of dental floss 2" longer than the spine of your book.
    9.use needle to poke a whole through each of the 6 registration marks
    10.sew through the first registrationmark entering through the valley

  3. Step 3

    11.sew through the second registration mark through the peak
    12.continue in this matter until you reach the 6th mark
    13knot string as tightly and as closely to the hole as possible
    if you want to add color to your journal feel free
