By now, New Year's Day has come and gone and taken your resolutions with it. No big deal, it wasn't the right time to start. In fact, never start a new goal at the beginning of anything (day, month, year or your birthday). The problem is the history of failure already embedded in these times. Almost everyone has begun a goal at the "beginning" and failed. Instead, pick some odd day and time, like the 12th of next month at 3:22. Read on for more tips about re-launching your resolutions.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paper and pen
  1. Step 1

ERASE YESTERDAY. Your mind only knows what you tell it. If you fret about the accomplishments you didn't achieve and call them "failures," the mind says, "Yes, you are a failure." You must erase yesterday in order to be successful today. Call your experiences "great!" The mind will respond, "You are having some great experiences!"

  2. Step 2

JOURNAL TODAY. From this place of greatness, you can reevaluate your resolutions. Write about what you really want. Think about how you can achieve this goal in a way that fits your personality and life style. Give yourself permission to do it your way. Again, tell the mind what to think, "This is a perfect plan for my purpose." The mind responds, "This is perfect!"

  3. Step 3

RE-WRITE TOMORROW. From this place of perfection, re-write your plan. Here's a powerful example: "On the 12th of next month at 3:22 I begin my resolution to be a size 10. I let go of any other ideas I had or those that others had for me. Instead, I stand strongly in the knowledge that I am a powerful creator. I create my own destiny. I see myself in the black shorts and pink tank top on a 12th day in the summer at 3:22."

Your "tomorrow" is the best day to re-launch your resolutions. Good luck!
