Ever wonder what to do with leftover wine? Wonder no more! Here is a simple trick to saving it for later. They keep for months and while not great for drinking, are terrific for cooking and saves any from wasting.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Pour the leftover wine into ice cube trays and freeze. Pour red and white wines in separate tray to avoid accidentally combining them.

  2. Step 2

Pop out of tray when frozen and store in Ziploc freezer bags. Store in the freezer. Be sure to store them either on the door of your freezer or somewhere easily accessed so you do not forget about them!

  3. Step 3

Frozen wine cubes store for months. Mark the bag with the date that the wine was frozen. If you like, you can also mark it with the type or variety of wine that you used.

  4. Step 4

When needed to make a hot sauce, just pop right into the pot, no defrosting needed!
